PROTEST AT TOUR

Anti-Apartheid Body Formed An independent students anti-apartheid committee has been formed to protest against the tour of New Zealand by “the sports team claiming to be a representative South African Rugby team.” A public protest meeting will be held in the W.E.A. Hall -on Thursday at 8 pjn. The committee feels that such teams should not tour New Zealand “as they are representative only of the allwhite South African Rugby Union and because they force New Zealand to follow a discriminatory policy in its reciprocal tours of South Africa. 'The committee believes that the posturings of the Minister of Justice and others at public receptions to the team demonstrate that the questions of sport and politics cannot be separated.”
