Avonside Teams Lead Winter Tennis
Avonside n, with four points, leads section I and Avonside I and Fendalton, with three points each, lead section II in the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association's winter inter-club competition. The fourth round, postponed from last Sunday, was played at Wilding Park yesterday. Mixed Doubles.—Atkinson and Mrs Atkinson beat McKenzie and Mrs Macdonald, 9-2, beat Black and Mrs Laycock, 9-4: McNicol and Mrs McNicol beat Black and Mrs Laycock, 9-3, beat McKenzie and Mrs Macdonald. 9-2. North Linwood won by 4 matches to 2.
