Pines Beach Boxing

Pines Beach, which is about a mile from the birthplace of boxing in New Zealand 103 years ago, may now hold a boxing tournament every second year. The first of these tournaments was held in the Pines Beach Hall two years ago, to a packed audience, and was a tremendous success. The organiser, Mr T. L. Blumsky, has been active once more this year and a second tournament has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 10. The tournament was originally set down for July 20 but circumstances have forced the change. However, tickets bought for the earlier date, may still be used.
