Onion Losses At Pukekohe
(N.Z.. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 1. Pukekohe onion growers are having to throw away up to half of their stored stocks because of disease. The disease has been evident for the last four years and is affecting supplies for the markets. Prices have risen as a result. Research is being carried out at Otara, Lincoln College and Levin to And the cause of the disease, but experiments so far have been unsuccessful.
