Mr M. J. O’Brien, a Wellington lawyer, has been elected chairman of the Council for Volunteer Service Abroad in succession to Professor C. C. Aikman who has been chairman since 1962. Professor Aikman will remain a member of the council.—(P.A.) Group Captain K. W. Trigance, commander of the R.N.ZA.F, base at Ohakea, has been promoted to air commodore and will command the R.N.Z-A.F. headquarters at Auckland when it is formed later this year.—(P.A.)
