ROBBERY OF BANK
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 21. No definite lead has emerged in the £15,200 Avondale bank robbery, although the police search is now in its twelfth day. A police spokesman said today inquiries were proceeding on several lines, but no major development was immediately expected. One puzzling feature was that there has been no response to the reward offer providing payment of up to 10 per cent of any of the stolen money recovered. That could mean a pay-out of up to £l5OO to an informant. “There’s nothing dramatic happening at the moment, but the inquiry is far from dead.” the spokesman said.
