ORDERED OFF
Captain’s Protest (N.Z Press Association > AUCKLAND. June 20. The Australian Rugby i League captain, 1. Walsh, to-! day claimed that G. Langlands was not ordered off immediately after an incident with the Kiwi full-back. J. E. Fagan, during the first test at Carlaw Park on Saturday. Walsh said the referee. Mr -I. Percival, had warned Langlands after Fagan had been injured in a tackle and had then walked over to look at the injured Fagan.
Mr Percival looked at Fagan. Walsh said, saw blood pouring from his face, and then walked back to Langlands and ordered him off. “Langlands told Mr Percival that he had just been warned and when I questioned Mr Percival he said: ‘That’s right. 1 had warned him. but now I have changed my mind and I am ordering him off ’" Walsh had to order his players back into their positions when they grouped together arguing with the referee while Fagan received medical attention.
