Driver Has Good Dav

The weekly scramble meelng organised by the RiccartonHornby Scramble Car Club drew many spectators yesterday.

The special event was tlie offi tials’ race, in which the drivers changed places with the offi ci a Is. M. Sloan (Speedway com petitor) won this event. The racing was excellent, with capacity fields in each division. I. Kuhne, a third diivision driver, took the honours of the day with four first platings in his 1936 Dodge.

Unfortunate drivers were Al Houghton in his 1936 Ford 10 (Mini Car) and L. Naisbit in his 1937 VB. Houghton’s Min 1 , touched a Euclid tyre which marks out the track, causing him to roll. Nads bit also rolled when hi-s right rear tyre blew out. Neither driver was injured. Thirty-two cars entered the grand finale over 10 laps and 16 finished. Results:
