THIRTEEN HURT

Collision On Highway (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, June 20. An eight-month-old baby, one of four persons admitted to Rotorua Hospital today after an accident on the Roto-rua-Whakatane highway, is in a serious condition. The child is John Wahia, son of Mrs Melva Florence Wahia, of Rotorua, who was also admitted. Thirteen persons were taken to the hospital as a result of a two-car collision. Two ambulances were called to the scene. The drivers of the cars, Brian Nelson Cheeseman, of Auckland. who had one passenger, and Kurei Ropitini, of Rotorua, who had 10 passengers, most of them children, were treated and discharged.
