Another Aircraft Crashes At Paris

PARIS, June 20. A plane crash at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget and a collision at the car race at Le Mans yesterday killed at least 14 persons.
Both tragedies were seen by hundreds of spectators. At least nine persons were reported killed when a small Italian plane crashed into a parking lot at the air show. Police and rescue crews worked feverishly to pry open crushed cars in the lot. Several persons were taken to a hospital with serious injuries amid fears the death toll might rise.
The pilot, Italo Donati, attempted to eject from the plane just before it crashed.
but he was too low and was killed. I He had just performed a series of daring acrobatics over the field and was coming in for a landing. Earlier in the show, a United States Hustler bomber crashed, killing the pilot At Le Mans, a pick-up truck bound for a refreshment stand collided with a car. Both vehicles burst into flames and police reported that five persons were killed. The car was taking its occupants toward the race encloisure.
