PROJECT AT TURANGI

Special Sites Available (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 16. Applications for special commercial and industrial sites at Turangi have been invited by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wellington, Mr V. P. McGlone. The commercial area is next to the shopping centre, and the industrial site is about half a mile south of the shopping centre. “The demand for the services to be provided in these areas is expected to expand rapidly and applications can be considered only from people or firms able to finance, erect and open a business with a minimum of delay,” said Mr McGlone. “Sites will be allocated by the Land Settlement Board to those applicants having the necessary finance, experience and ability to set up business immediately. “Special commercial area sites will cost in the vicinity of £5O to £75 a foot frontage for a site with a depth of 100 feet, while industrial A sites will cost £2O to £25 a foot frontage with the same depth.”
