To Retire
The deputy-chairman of the Dairy Board, Mr R. A. Candy, will retire from this position later this year, according to the Press Association. He is 61. Mr Candy said he decided to retire from the board so he could take things easier. He has been a director since 1935 of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company. He was a member of the Dairy Marketing Commission from 1947 to 1961 and chairman from 1957 to 1961. When the commission was amalgamated with the Dairy Board in 1961 he became deputy chairman.
