Plastic Wanted
The Director of the Crop Research Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (Dr. H. C. Smith) is wondering whether someone is prepared i to give the Avele Agricultural College in Western Samoa a -roll or two of plastic. Dr. Smith, who has just returned from a visit to the Pacific Islands, said the college was interested in teaching the Samoans methods of plant [propagation. Cuttings of plants like cocoa and citrus' could be propagated quite easily in a frame coveredwith plastic.
