OUT FOR SIX MONTHS
Trainer Of Rei sling (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. The Rosehill trainer, J. Norman. was disqualified for six' months by stewards of the Australian Jockey ’ Club yesterday after a positive urine test had been returned by Pathetique at Randwick last month. Norman was charged with failing to take proper precautions to prevent the administration of drugs. After the stewards had announced their decision Norman said he would appeal. “If you think I'd stake my home, my champion racehorse. Reisling, thousands of pounds worth of yearlings, as well as a £34.000 stable just for £7O. then I am fit for Callan Park," he said. Callan Park is one of the bigegst menial hospitals in Sydney. He told the stewards: “If this is your decision on such flimsy evidence then I would be better off out of racing.’’ Norman told the stewards his security at his stable was as strict as one could reasonably expect. At Rosehill, however, where the horse was trained, it was “like a picnic meeting." and it would be comparatively simple to dope a horse. Norman said he had shown one steward just hou r easy it was when he handed a carrot to a horse in a stall. The carrot could have contained a pill, he said.
