(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, June 2. Southland’s four freezing works have achieved their aim of a season’s kill of sheep and lambs of more than 5,000,000. The total kill was estimated tonight as 5,030.394. The Ocean Beach works will stop killing at midday tomorrow and the Mataura. Makarewa and Alliance works on Friday. Alliance will, as usual, continue killing as required. The kill last season was 4,975,353.
