Southlanders Get Together
A club to provide social activities for Southlanders now living in Christchurch was formed at a meeting this week. Membership is open to those who were bom in the province or who have lived there for 10 years. The club’s first function will be a social and dance to be held on July 3 at the Ridgley Hall. Officers elected were:— president, Mr L. P. Dawson; senior vice-president, Mr J. G. Fredric: junior vice-president, Mr D. M. Becks: secretary, Mrs L. D. Wyber; treasurer, Mrs M. V. Dawson: committee, Messrs R. G. Buchanan, A. Stephens, A. E. Dawson, and G. Campbell, Mesdames I M. Dawson, R, D. Jenkins, D. Ansley, and N. Herrett.
