Motz Denies Report

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) EDGBASTON, May 30. An article in the “Sunday Mercury” today stating that the New Zealand all-rounder, R. C. Motz, is proposing to stay in England at the end of the present tour to qualify for county cricket, has been vehemently denied by Motz himself. He says he has no idea where the newspaper found such erroneous information. Motz says he had not given any thought to such a move nor would he because he had a wife and family and a highly satisfactory position in New Zealand, and had no wish to begin a career in England.
