Ltd., requires young men to train as supervisors of contracting work for local bodies. THE POSITION: Trainees would be required to “learn by doing” as job labourers at first, with gradually increasing responsibility, in Wellington. Successful trainees would then transfer to other localities either near Wellington or further afield, supervising similar contracts, in sole charge under a company engineer. QUALIFICATIONS: We consider that experience in drainlaying, contracting, waterworks and agriculture would be useful. We seek men, preferably with School Certificate or U.E., who are prepared to study the New Zealand Institute of Management Diploma Course. Trainees must understand that manual work is required and that promotion depends on merit. This is an outdoor job and the Company regards it. as a training for future work of a managerial nature.
