New Stallion For Kinross

The Kinross Stud, of Te Kauwhata, has bought the good English-bred horse, Hawa, for an undisclosed sum. Hawa, which has had a few seasons at the Beaufields Stud in South Australia, will leave for New Zealand as soon as Shipping arrangements are completed. Bred in 1957, Hawa will join the successful stallion, Summertime, at the Kinross Stud.
The Adelaide jockey, R. Hutchinson, described Hawa as the fastest horse he had ever ridden, and Mr C. Hayes, the managing director of the Beaufields stud, said he regretted parting with the horse, DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB WINTER MEETING JUNE 5, 7 and 12, 1965. ACCEPTANCES for the Flrzt Day CLOSE TODAY.
