Rowing Eights Abandoned
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 23. The inter-provincial eights rowing championship was unanimously abandoned by toe half-yearly meeting of the New Zealand rowing council on Saturday. Delegates to the meeting, after discussing the decline in support for the event, without exception voted for a proposal by Mr H. H. Burrell to abandon the meeting in future.
