Wanted For 007 Role

(N.Z. Preu Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, May 23. The Olympic gold medalist, Mary Rand, glamour girl of British athletics, has been asked to be the female 007 of five films for a London company, the “Daily Express” reported.

But the 25-year-old Olympic star said: “I would object to any ultra-sexy scenes." Mary returned from the Cannes Film Festival with the offer.

She said: “The executives I met at Cannes wanted me to sign a contract right away to star as the female James Bond. It was all very exciting, but I wanted to come home and talk with Sydney, my husband, first. We have not yet made up our minds.”
