Left Hotel Safe Unblown

INVERCARGILL, May 24. Burglars made preparations to blow open the safe in the office of the Clyde Tavern last night but instead they left the premises with nothing more than a few cigarettes. They drilled two holes in the safe door and had sacks ready to use as tanping.
