More Seats Available

The Christchurch City Council has made available a further 1225 open stand seats at English Park for the soccer match between the two English professional dubs, Sheffield United and Blackpool, on Saturday. ■ This is in addition to the 750 made available last week. The extra seating will be placed behind the goals and along the cycle track opposite the stand in a similar manner to those arranged when Tom Finney’s English team played at the park in 1961. The tickets, priced at 10s each, will be on sale tomorrow and for the rest of the week, at the Canterbury Sports Depot. The majority of the first allocation of 750 seats, which went on sale for the first time on Friday, have been sold.

Members of the City Council’s Reserves Department and officials of the Canterbury Football Association will meet at English Park tomorrow to complete arrangements for the match.
