Relations Cut

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright)

NEW DELHI, May 7. The Indian Government today announced in Parliament its decision to cut off diplomatic relations with Southern Rhodesia as a protest against that country’s “white-ruled” elections which began today. In a statement, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Dinesh Singh, said New Delhi had decided on this snap action “to underline its solidarity with the Southern Rhodesian people and in conformity with enlightened opinion.”
