Mr M. Connelly has. been elected the first life member of the New Zealand Urban Fire Authorities’ Association. Mr Connelly, formerly of Dunedin but now living in Christchurch, was president of the association from 1949 to 1964.

Mr W. R. Campbell, chairman of the Christchurch Metropolitan Fire Board, has been re-elected president of the New Zealand Urban Fire Authorities’ Association. Dr. A. W. S. Ritchie has been appointed a visiting senior physician to the North Canterbury Hospital Board. He was formerly a visiting physician to the board. Mr F. R. Harrison has been appointed accountant to the North Canterbury Hospital Board.
