Notice To Drivers Of Fire Engines
Increasing care must be used by fire brigade drivers when driving fire board appliances, said the executive of the Christchurch Fire Brigadesman’s Union in a notice to - members at Its quarterly meeting. The union’s secretary (Mr G. G. Walker) said that the executive had pointed out to the driver that though they were exempted from the speed limit while answering fire calls, the Transport Act did not absolve them from negligence or from taking as much care as was demanded from private drivers.
