Altered Birth Certificate
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 30. A 29-year-old farm-hand, Charles Robert Sleeman, who altered his birth certificate in an attempt to achieve a fresh identity was fined £25 today by Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M. Sergeant G. W. Herbert told the Court Sleeman wanted to lose his identity, and “dissocate himself from the past.” He had adopted a new name 2| years ago, decided to go overseas, and changed particulars on a birth certificate accompanying his passport application.
