SIR DANE’S PLANS

The New Zealand weight-for-age star, Sir Dane, will be a surprise visitor to Brisbane to try to win the Doomben double—the Ten Thousand and the Doomben Cup—in July. His part-owner and trainer, D. Cameron, said today . Sir Dane had done so well while spelling and since his return to the stable, that he had decided to train him for the two big races. Earlier Cameron had intended to race Sir Dane only once in June on the opening day of the new Sandown Park racecourse
