The Amberley Racing Club has increased by £lOO the stake for its feature race at its annual meeting next month. The Amberley Cup will be run for a stake of £7OO this year. Natavia To Leave Today Natavia, which was sold last year to Mr J. Perry, manager of Wirth’s Circus, will do her future racing in Australia. The former Riccarton-trained mare will be shipped from Lyttelton to Sydney today. Natavia had five races for Mr Perry this season without showing form. Her lone win to date was the Novice Stakes at the Amberley meeting last May. In that event she carried the colours of her Riccarton trainer, G. S. Barr. Natavia, which will be raced on the country circuit in the Sydney area, will enter a Randwick stable. Doubtful Starter (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. The New Zealand - bred mare, Richetta, winner of the Millers’ Handicap at Randwick last Saturday, has been penalised 71b for the Newmarket to be run at Newcastle next Monday. The Newmarket is run over seven furlongs. Richetta’s owner, Mr R. M. Bowcock, said the mare was now a doubtful starter in the race. Yesterday she was entered for the £15,000 Brisbane Cup to be run at Eagle Farm on June 14. Apprentice Suspended (N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA. The apprentice jockey, R. J. Fergus, rider of Ability, was suspended from riding till 5 p.m. on May 12 when an inquiry into the running of the Second Ohinemutu Handicap at the Rotorua Racing Club’s Easter meting was resumed in Rotorua today. Three horses fell during the event.
