Flights From Blenheim "The Press" Special Service BLENHEIM, April 28. About 50 flights will be made across Cook Strait in the next two days by Bristol Freighters carrying cattle to the North Island. At the second Blenheim cattle sale today buyers from the North Island were again prominent, and 1100 cattle will be going north, mainly to the Wairarapa. An entry of 2400 head, including 1100 calves, 800 adult steers, and 500 cows, was offered. Buyers came also from Canterbury, Nelson, and the local area. Average steer calves brought from £l7 to £2O. and the best £25. Heifer calves were dearer than at the first sale, and brought up to £2O. Eighteen-month-old steers sold from £2O to £32, 18-month heifers from £lB to £3O, adult steers to £49 10s, and in-calf cows from £l5 to £3O.
Passed In.—A square house at 41 Huxley street, Svdenham. was passed in at £l6OO at public auction yesterday The property was offered on account of the estate of ManAnn Prebble by Mr N H McCrostie. The house has five rooms and a kitchenette. There is also a detached room and a garage on the section of 20 perches.
