FIREMAN’S SUCCESS

(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 28. A young member of the Auckland Fire Brigade (Mr K. G. O’Sullivan) was congratulated today by the president of the Institute of Fire Engineers (Mr J. Lynch) on scoring top marks for the world in the associated membership of the Institute of Fire Examination. Mr O’Sullivan began his fire-fighting career as a member of the Kaitaia volunteer brigade and then moved to Auckland where he joined the Auckland brigade’s auxiliary service. While serving in this capacity he attended university and later joined the permanent staff.
