REVISION OF PLANS

New and past delegates were present at the annual meeting of the Christchurch district committee of Country Girls' Clubs at which Miss Audrey Andrew presided. Concern was expressed at the lack of support in district activities, and it was hoped the revised programme would bring better participation, said Miss Andrew in her report. The coming year's programme includes a field day. table tennis evening competitions day, and a quiz evening. Congratulations were extended to the Waihora club for its success in debating: they have now reached the second round in the inter-dis-trict debating round, as well as winning the. Bank of New South Wales trophy. The following officers were elected:—chairman. Miss J. Calder; vice-chairman, Mrs R. Dixon; secretary, Miss W. Greenwood: treasurer, Mrs A. Eggleston.
