SEMINARS POPULAR

Trade Union Scheme (X.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 27. Because the trade union seminars at Victoria University have proved so popular with trade unionists, their range will be extended. New seminars will be held in August and September this year.

The first seminar this year, considered a pilot scheme, has ensured the success of further sessions.

Mr E. Keating, lecturer in adult education at Victoria University, said the three sessions so far had been an enormous success.

The maximum of 70 had enrolled for every session. At the last session on April 24, 66 had attended, he said. The two previous sessions had attracted 67 and 65 trade unionists.

Mr Keating said the papers already presented at seminar sessions would be presented later at Massey University, and at Otago University.

Future seminars would contain papers on international industrial relations, women in industry and society, and population problems.
