Better Loan Position
A brighter financial picture for 1965-66 than that of last year was given bv the secre-tary-treasurer (Mr T. A. Tucker) in his report to the Christchurch Drainage Board last evening. The loan renewal programme would be considerably lighter and because of the satisfactory loan cash position in relation to commitments there would not be a necessity to raise much | more from new loan issues than was raised in the last (year, he said.
