U.S. General's Visit

Brigadier-General J. w. Chapman, jun., commander of the 1501st Air Transport Wing which supplies the Air Force detachment in support ot the United States Antarctic activities, will visit Christchurch for two days next week.

General Chapman's visit will be informal as at present he is on leave. Yesterday he was due at Avalon, in Australia, where he will spend a week. He will arrive in Christchurch in a U.S.A.F Hercules from Avalon, accompanied by his wife, next Wednesday.
