Lord Hives Dead

LONDON, April 24.
Lord Hives, the former chairman of Rolls Royce, died today after being in a coma in hospital since suffering a stroke two years ago. He was 79 last Wednesday. Lord Hives began his career as a motor mechanic and rose to be chief executive of Rolls Royce.
He became a baron in 1950 and was one of the first men to achieve 100 miles an hour on a racing track.
