Wellington Fire Chief

WELLINGTON, April 23. The Wellington fire chief, Mr M. J. Henderson, has been honoured by two of the world’s foremost fire-fighting organisations, the Wellington Fire Board chairman, Mr F. J. Kitts, told the board today. Mr Henderson had: Been invited to attend and address the annual U.S. national fire prevention conference in Washington;

Been elected a full member of the British Institute of Fire Engineers. Mr Henderson will be the first New Zealand fire chief to address America’s top fire fighters. Mr Henderson is only the sixth New Zealand member elected to the institute.
