Scholarship Awarded
A student at the University of Canterbury, Mr I. F. Boag, aged 19, of Hastings, has won a scholarship awarded by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company. Mr Boag is a secondyear student at' the Univer sity of Canterbury, studying for his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is a former pupil of Hastings Boys’ High School. He will receive £175 a year until he completes bis degree. This year the C.S.R. Company has awarded five scholarships to New Zealand university students, two in Auckland and one each in Christchurch, Wellington, and Dunedin.
One of the awards in Auckland was made to Mr D. R. Crump, formerly a pupil of Christchurch Boys’ High School.
