A Battle Of Giants When Marists Meet
The strength of the three Marist Clubs from outside Canterbury which will take part in the Marist Easter tournament at Christchurch on Easter Saturday and Monday was clearly emphasised during the week-end.
Greymouth Marist, the present West Coast champion, which can field 10 provincial representatives, defeated Ngahere, 51-4, after beating Blackball last week. The South Island representative, C. A. Hibbs, scored 21 points.
The third entrant in the quadrangular tournament, Wellington Marist, defeated the Kiwi, W. R. Harrison’s club, Korodale, 43-7. Wellington Marist includes in its line-up the North Island hooker, C.
