Cunis Leaving Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 12. Auckland is likely to lose another of its outstanding young cricketers —the fast bowler. R. Cunis. Cunis. who represented New Zealand 18 months ago. said today he expected to move to Whangarei at the end of the year. This would make him eligible for Northern Districts'. Auckland has already lost two of its prominent Plunket Shield players from last season—H. Schuster to Hamilton and J. Mclntyre to Christchurch.
The big-hitting Grafton allrounder and former Northern Districts player. S Kohlhasse. is planning a trip to England Cunis, who is 24, is a school teacher who must serve two years’ country service before he can gain promotion.
