Increased admission prices for Rugby matches at Lancaster Park and Rugby Park had been introduced to cover higher costs, particularly costs incurred when Canterbury teams had to tour, said Mr R. W. Thomas, treasurer of the Canterbury Rugby Union, yesterday
Admission to Rugby Park and the enclosure at Lancaster Park has increased from 2s 6d to 3s and the price of admission to the embankment at Lancaster Park has gone up by 50 per cent, from Is to 2s. A season ticket has gone up from £3 to £3 ss.
