Australian Beats Leuii (N.Z. Press Association> INVERCARGILL. April 12 Southland boxing fans were tonight treated to a display by one of the fastest boxers ever seen in Invercargill. He was Australian welter-weight title contender. lan McDonald, a Scdtsman, who beat Sain Leun of Tokoroa. on a split decision after 10 rounds.
.Weighing in at lOst 51b. Me Donald had the crowd gasping at his speed.
Leuii, lOst 71b, mixed It well and had most of McDonald's moves covered after the sec ond round, but he lacked that extra bit of speed to carry him through.
In a curtain-raiser bout be tween the former New Zealand welter-weight champ.on. Heinie Forsyth. Auckland, and Johnie Lawrence. Invercargill, Forsyth won on points.
