SAILING DELAY

(N Z. Press Association! AUCKLAND, April 4. A dispute between the crew of the | freighter Wailemata [ and the ship’s owners, I the Union Steam Ship Company, prevented the ship leaving Auckland for Rarotonga on ; Saturday. Since Saturday the 7364-ton ship has been anchored in stream. The crew want cots in which they can sleep on deck when the ship passes through the tropics, the Auckland manager for the company. Mr R. A. Johnson, said tonight, j A decision was made not to sail on Saturday until the I Seamen’s Union had beeni consulted, he said. An official of the Auckland branch of the union would not i comment tonight.
