Judges For Show

Thirty-six judges from many parts of the South Island have been chosen to officiate at the Oxford show on Saturday. The first section to get under way will be the dog trials in Pearson Park, in which the judging will begin at 8.15 a.m. Judging of the horse and cattle sections will begin at 9.45 a.m. and judging of other exhibits will begin at 10 a.m. The judges for the various sections are:—

Horses.—Light horses, Mr l T. M. Ritchie (Ashburton); harness horses, cobs, led horses, and led ponies, Mr A. J. Agnew (Timaru); saddle ponies up to 12.2 hands, Mrs E. M. Cresswell (Blenheim): saddle ponies up to 14.2 hands, Mrs E. G. O. Rutherford (Parnassus). Sheep.—Corriedale and half-breds, Mr W. DampierCrossley (Parnassus); Romney Marsh, Mr D. A. Scott (Ashburton): Border Leicester. Mr P. H. Letham (Lauriston); South Suffolk, Mr S. H. Gardiner (Amberley); Dorset horn, polled Dorset, and Dorset Down. Mr T. P. Lowe (Windermere); South Dorset Down. Mr G. King (Pendarves): Southdown, Mr T. E. M. Brooks (Brookside, rams), Mr H. G, Petrie (Woodend, ewes): flock sheep, Mr P. A. Carr (Waikari, fine wool), Mr J. D. Harr (Mount Hutt, strong wool); fat sheep, Mr H. G. Steele (Darfield); pet lambs. Mr J. M. Pickering (Oxford). Wool.— Mr E. Sands (Christchurch). Cattle.—Milking Shorthorn, Mr L. C. Skevington (Ashburton); Jersey, Mr T. M. Fleming (Rangiora); Ayreshire, Mr M. T. Gottermeyer (Christchurch); Friesian, Mr P. J. Robertson (Outram).

Dogs.—Sheep dogs, Mr P, Newton (Loburn); dog trials, Mr H. Inch (Hawarden).
