“PLANE WAS TOO LOW”
Fatal Crash In Waikato (N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, March 29. The light aircraft which carried four men to their deaths near Waharoa airport on Saturday had recovered from its spin but had insufficient height to arrest the dive before striking the ground. The chief inspector of air accidents, Wing Commander O. J. O’Brien, said today this had been established from various reports of the crash. There was no question of engine failure.
