CONFERENCE OF NURSES
500 Expected In City
The Registered Nurses’ Association will hold its 1965 conference in Christchurch next week. About 560 delegates and observers from many parts of New Zealand are expected to attend. The Minister of Health (Mr McKay)' will be the guest of honour at the opening ceremony, to be held at the Winter Garden next Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday morning a commencement service will be held in Christchurch Cathedral and there will be a special celebration of Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Later in the morning the business of the conference will begin with the presidential address by Miss E. N. Hollis, matron of Waikato Hospital. A special-interest section will include meetings on nursing education and the nursing service. The conference is expected to close on the Thursday afternoon.
