FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A cold front is moving east-wards across the country while an anti-cyclone near Tasmania is advancing towards New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds; partly cloudy and rather cold. Marlborough.—Southerlies decreasing and becoming variable; fine and cool. Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; fine and cool. Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate variable winds; partly cloudy; a few isolated showers in Buller and Westland.
