Good Year (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 27. A further satisfactory year in both production and trading was predicted by the chairman of Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, Ltd. (Sir James Fletcher) at the company’s annual general meeting in Auckland.
“The position during the last year has come well up to the expectations of the directors and there has been no alteration in the price of our main product, newsprint,” he said.
Sir James Fletcher added that pulp prices had remained at the improved level reached during the year and the timber market continued in a buoyant state.
