N.C.C. YOUTH CONFERENCE

Overseas Speakers

Three overseas appoint'ments have been confirmed | for the National Council of I Churches’ fourth ecumenical ) youth conference in Hamilton in September. Dr. D. T. Niles, of Ceylon, a leading preacher, writer and theologian will be the chief speaker. In addition to Bible studies he will preach at a mass rally for the general public on the Sunday evening. Mrs Niles will accompany her husband. An Indonesian youth leader Dr. S. Nababan will be present in his capacity as youth secretary of the East Asia Christian Conference. A New Zealander the Rev. A. Brash, who is now resident in Singapore, will be the third overseas guest. Other appointments include Rt. Rev. J. T. Holland, Bishop of Waikato, as chairman of conference, Rev. P. Parr of Hamilton, conference supervisor, and Mr F. Dennis, a I Christchurch music teacher, I who will be the musical I director. The local committee is i headed by the Rev. I. M. Milner, with Mr H. R. Hornsby headmaster of St. Pauls Collegiate School, as secretary. An All Black, Mr R. Pickering, is treasurer of the conference.
