Christchurch Activities

There had been 278 new cases, 1875 visits to homes made, and 2823 visits of babies to Plunket rooms, the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society was told. Interest had been, shown by both boys and girls in a display of books and posters arranged in the library of Cashmere High School. Lectures were given in several secondary schools, and at Burwood Training Centre. Bookings had been slow at the Karitane bureau early in the year, but were now back to normal, and nurses were fully occupied. There were 59 requests received in February, and 39 cases received nurses.

Eight nurses had already left this- year for Australia, where cases were readily available.
